Nyepi Package 2023 – Spend The Silent Day in Ubud
The Day of Silence – Nyepi, which coincides with the Saka New Year 1945 on Wednesday, March 22th, 2023. This is a solemn time of the year for most Balinese Hindus, observed from 6 AM until 6 AM the next morning, the island stops.

As Nyepi approaches, you will notice great excitement all over Bali, such as:
- Melasti – Sunday, 19th March, 2023. Every village will hold a large procession by taking images of Gods to the sea for a symbolic of cleansing called Melasti.
- The Tawur Ceremonies – Tuesday, 21st March, 2023 at 05:00 pm. To cleanse the resort area which takes place at Sri Phala house temple called Padmasana. All staff of Sri Phala will go around the resort and make loud sounds by hitting bamboo and also bring fire to drive away the evil spirit. You are very welcome to join us in these processions and we are pleased to assist you to wear a sarong and sash before approaching any of the temples.
- Ogoh Ogoh Parade – Tuesday, 21st March, 2023. After sunset, it is a procession of carrying Ogoh Ogoh, giant effigies, accompanied by loud gamelan music can be seen all over the island. The loud instruments are meant to satisfy the evil spirits, and at the end, the evil spirits will not bother the human being during Nyepi – a silent day.
- Nyepi, Day of Silence – 06.00 am on Wednesday, March 22nd, 2023 until 06:00 am on Thursday, 23rd March 2023. Nyepi is a day of complete rest that follows the purification ceremony.
